Approximately half of the
sample group had prior
assets but indicators are
those assets existed within
the family context. What
comes through strongly in
this small sample is the
desire to develop their asset
base independently.
Growth in their businesses,
leads to the provision of other products and services. On the other hand, some have built a
new home or desire to build
one. Yet one woman was
very clear that education for her young family was her motivating factor.
